Fantasy

Fantasy – I wrote it years ago, but I admit without help it wouldn’t sound half as mediocre-okay as it does.

Fantasy

Late night I hear the calling
Of the vast rolling sea
The waters capture the seashells
Then they pull away from me
Should I heed the maidens
To harmonize as they sing
I’d risk falling and drowning
While the sky covers me
It’s only the sea

[Chorus]
I cannot be what you want me to be
I will not sing what you want me to sing
It’s only the sea

When the moon is rising
With a wolf chasing me
Running where the leaves fall
From the sleep laden trees
I will not stop to hurt him
Nor let him cut or capture me
I’m not lured by his fury
I prefer the peaceful green
He’s only a beast

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
Far down in time’s echoes
Innocence waits for me
Wrapped in the shadows
From a touch trembling
If I sprung the trap there
Illusions lie would come clean
Why bleed for false causes
Solid fights need the ring
It’s only a dream

[Chorus]
I cannot be what you want me to be
I will not sing what you want me to sing
It’s only a dream
I cannot be what you want me to be
I will not sing what you want me to sing
It’s only a dream
It’s only a beast
It’s only the sea

Agneta and the Merman Get Back Together

The story starts out beautifully. A knight’s daughter, Agneta , meets a merman. He woos her successfully and she lives with him for a while. Then comes the day she wishes to visit home. Her husband tells her she must never do certain things in order to go, like bowing to the priest, and off she goes. But when the church bells ring, and she kneels to pray, she is lost to the man who’d loved her for years and had multiple children with. She won’t even look at him. The power of Christ compelled her.

Loki’s Identity Crisis

This is part of the That Læ-ing Loki project, and currently is the only article within the project I have available. This article is up temporarily for select people to read the rough draft. As far as the final paper, I am currently polishing, checking citations, double checking my research, and making sure snide comments […]

Loki: Playing With Fire

Because I’ll tell you another very important secret. You can see him as fire, smoke, or a block of cheese but it’s not going to actually change what he is. Only he gets to do that. There’s this guy who keeps trying to make me more Western than I really am. He hasn’t succeeded, for all he chooses to view me that way. It’s like that for Loki. That’s how the cookie crumbles – unless Loki’s shoving it into his mouth.
